Shop rat. Glue (or shellac, as the case may be) only. Glue is a PITA to clean. Tape residue is absolutely obnoxious.

Tire, rim, tire...unless the rim is brand new, in which case: rim, tire, rim, tire.

I do not personally use tubulars, unless it's period appropriate/accurate, as an exercise in period-appropriateness...
