I do the same with Strava, only had one prior need of assistance. That took a day for a reply, and that was late last year.

I can accept that, despite the few times I've had a brief 'loss of signal' or GPS that didn't cause a ride record to quit before I'd saved it at the end.

No. Never considered that that might be necessary, no idea whether an iPhone has that kind of capability. I've ridden longer rides before without something like this happening.

Thanks for your insights about this BTW. Gives me some things to look into going forward.
