I just acquired a garmin 810 and I'm trying to see if this old slc+ hub (ant+) might work with it. I guess I'd better check the likelihood of a catastrophic wheel failure first.
the bontrager race lites are infamous for cracked rims...... the ones that pair opposite side spokes close to each other on the rims crack the most often.
many reports of this on these forums and most others...

i've discovered a few of those cracked rims in my shop too... one was on a bike i was nearly done reviving. I swapped in a higher spoke count wheel.
to be fair, many of them never crack... the problem , IIRC, traced back to the coating/anodizing, and it was not consistently an issue...?
