Some stores will have an extra special discount on the day or the weekend after thanksgiving. Some stores may even offer the ability to order on line during the evening of Thanksgiving. I ordered some stuff on one store website after 9pm last year in the evening on thanksgiving day, that store started their on line thanksgiving sales after 9pm.

Three years ago I was watching a sleeping bag on sale at REI outlet, and a few days after christmas REI had an extra discount on one item from their outlet site, so I ordered the bag I had been considering when I saw that extra discount. The original price was $340, marked down to $240, and with that extra discount was $191 before sales tax.
