This is well worth quoting because here in Toronto, it's absolutely true. It's funny how the size they recommend to you is just the largest bike in your price range. I've even paid for a fitting three times (at Duke's, Racer Sportif, and Bikes on Wheels) only to be told to buy whichever was the largest size in stock, ranging from 58 to 63 (I'm 6'4"). Both of the majors fit me to a 58, which is two sizes too small. Since I've been riding long enough to know what's most comfortable, I now order my frames online because I know my mesurements (61TTx60ST). Frankly, I will no longer support any but a handful of LBSs in the city because the only thing they care about is extracting your money from your wallet.
