Really happy with how it came together. Took it out for a 28 mile spin. After a few small dial ins, it was running well.

Nitto Randonneur bars and gel inserts under the tape make for a comfy, all-day rider.

Bike has PLENTY of clearance for larger tires. Went with a set of 700/28 Gravel King slicks I had in my stash just to see how plush I could get it. I may go back to the 700/25 Rene Herse tires.

The only bodge I had to do to make the Ultegra group work was strapping the RD housing to the chainstay behind the diver’s bell housing. In the smallest chainring and cob combo, the chain sits just above the diver’s bell housing. The red strap keeps the yellow housing from contacting the chain.

Nice build I had 3x9 ultegra on a miyata 1400 super nice shifting

Rather than going back to the 25 Rene Herse, I would advocate for going to the 28... they ride way nice than the gravel kings. I like the endurance casing (running 35 on my kirk and they are smoooooth)
