I have been tempted to get a tandem that is selling for little money and remove the rear seat and use the seat clamp for one of the rack mounts. Of course it would have to have a custom rack. I'd also be removing the strokers crank. This would be a solid frame though.

The crazy thing is that sellers that are listing a tandem think that they are valuable. I guess if I wanted one bad enough I'd make an offer but I haven't so life continues without a long tail project.
