In my mind, that Raleigh is very original and exceptionally well equipped (check out the values of the Brooks saddle, saddle bar, pedals and pump). I would, once allowed closer inspection, be willing to consider the $250 asking price. I would have offered $125 to start and hope for the best. That comment is from a collector (me) of vintage bicycles and that Raleigh is a very vintage candidate for, what looks to me to be a relatively straight forward rebuild that would set me back the extra cost of consumables.

If, however, I were buying the bike as a rider, forget the $250 or even the $125 suggested above. My top offer would be not interested. Bikes that are more road worthy and safe to ride can be had, on FB Marketplace or other on-line venues for a hundred bucks or less.

That said, if you do want the pleasure of experience the vintage bicycle ride experience, a Raleigh Superbe is not a bad way to go at all.
