Around 1997 I was on a sales trip to DuPont and came across a sample of a carbon fiber sheet they had produced. The rep gave it to me to play with and I came up with a copy of the leaf spring fork found on vintage motor cycles. Honestly, it was terrible, but proof of concept was there. Lauf has successfully engineered a multi-leaf fork that seems to have a strong following. Is it as effective as a hyro fork? No, not even close, but it does offer a light weight alternative to a typical suspension fork, and I applaud them for it.
