Those 1970s Raleighs are not as collectible as the earlier ones but they still ride nicely. I've had a 1974 Sports for 22+ years now and it is still going strong. $50 is a good bargain for those bikes.
I do find they rehab quite nicely--paint and chrome are usually in decent shape. I'd be passing them along to work colleagues come spring, so my main cost would be new tires, I'd imagine.
