I turn 65 in 4 months, she just turned 66. Hiking is sort of a natural progression because joints won't let her do marathons anymore. She has a total of 335 miles on the PCT, 2/3 of it solo. I did a 6 mile and a 7 mile section with her. The latter unintended, as she couldn't get her bear can open, and had to come back, so I went up with food and water, when I was expecting to pick her up 20 miles or more downtrail (aborted golf outing that day). This is over the last 4 years. Each year, the annual mileage goes up (135 this year).
Hahaha. Yeah man, I'm a spring chicken in my late 50s and ain't no way I'd consider thru hiking PCT.
