It might be that the bearings will be cartridge bearings. Which might seem difficult to remove. However they aren't difficult once you know which method is needed to remove them. Usually they can be pushed out from the other side. If they are cartridge bearings, they'll have a number on them. If Specialized didn't use a proprietary design for the bearing cartridge too, then that number probably can be referenced by any place that sells bearings. If you have a industrial supplier of bearings for nearby industry that also sells retail, then they might be just a less than two bucks for the entire set. Or 17-25 bucks at your LBS or online retailer.

Specialized doesn't consider some of their hubs as serviceable. So they might not even be available through Specialized.
