The title of the thread says 'vintage hybrids'.
And, yet, his examples are not that much older than the 2015 hybrid I converted. All of his examples are from the early to mid 2000s. Barely vintage if vintage at all. And hybrids aren’t really a classification of bikes that is evolving all that quickly. A 2005 Felt SR51 is likely to have similar geometries and tire wide allowances to whatever Felt is making in that class now.

Additionally, let’s give bluehills some credit. If wider tires didn’t fit in the examples he provided, he can look for something else that will take wider tires. It’s not like he said he would only consider bikes that are from the 2000s or before.
