For the remainder of the ride, the rider on the light bike would then be happily rolling along in the pack at 100 watts. The rider on the 'aero' bike would be suffering at 400 watts in a futile attempt to reconnect as the pack disappears inexorably down the road.
Rather than wasting your time with us you should talk to UAE Team Emirates I am sure with their $70,000,000 budget they would pay handsomely for your advice. Perhaps run a trial in some under the radar type races and as the word of the incredible results starts to spread talk to Colnago which can then release a retro bike based on the new winning design. This would start a resurgence of retro innovation of 3x8, rim brake, external cable, tubular 19 mm tire bikes. Huge sales would result and you could negotiate a piece of the action. Perhaps a decal on the chain stay with your name on it.
