I like the crankset. And platform pedals seem appropriate for this bike.

I look at these hybrid bikes and think they make great cross country/gravel bikes. Do you like the suspension fork? Is it worth it's weight? I see you are in Colorado so you have some trails that that travel will help.
I don't like the fork much on this one they went with a fairly cheap fork with only about a 1/2 inch of clunky travel. The bike would be better if it had a nice carbon gravel fork but I don't want to invest that much money on this one. I may just block this one out to effectively make it a rigid fork.
