As a follow up part 2 I got a really nice WTB seat attached to a nice new condition Raceface seat post for $3 from the same thrift store today. I put the nice seat on rigid post I had in my parts stash and put them on this bike makes a world of difference over the mushy comfort seat and suspension post and looks a lot better. So I now have a bike that I may ride and keep that's fairly nice for under $20 and get really nice post for my parts stash.
