I don’t remember telling this thread or anywhere else in this forum that in my impatience in trying to take off the double chainring bolts (which were heavily rusted) I might have deformed both a few of the bolt heads on one side and partially stripped out the hex key side on a few of the nuts as well … Not sure how you knew

No, No, very sorry, my bad, didn't mean you or us in general, just speaking to the general state of affairs often, as a flat rate FoMoCo tech I saw a lot of guys blowing through work just to beat the clock, breaking plenty along the way.
We see plenty here too, I'm always glad when we save anything from scrap and we do save alot.
