I made sure to ride indoors (trainer) for an 40min - 1 Hr) 3-4 times a week and since it was a relatively mild winter, on days that were not too bad (above 15-20F and sunny) I actually rode outside. I pretty much stayed within the 65%-73% heartrate most of the time.
I don't have a lot of time to train but I'm riding a century in about 6 weeks and have begun doing long rides (70 Miles is my longest so far). My riding program now that I'm theoretically out of building a base (I have 1000+ Miles of base riding so far.
Tuesday (2-3 Hour Ride) Medium 30-45 Miles
Thursday (1-1.5 Hour Ride) Easy 22 Miles or so
Saturday (4 Hr Group ride, meaning all over the place from easy to sprinting up hills) 60-70 Miles
