I just thought I would introduce myself to this particular forum as I have never driven a car and bike everywhere. I am sure everyone here has a story and here is mine....My dad worked for the Department of Defense as a School administraitor for the military base schools overseas and I was brought up living on bases in europe for my first 19 years. A lot of the schools there did not have drivers ed., so i didn't get around to learning to drive during high school. I moved to the states a year after graduating and out of pure lazyness I never got around to learning to drive during my early 20's and soon after got into a simple lifestyle revolving around vegetarianism and the Grateful Dead etc.... and decided to not learn to drive. That was 20 years ago. I am now 44 and have never been behind the wheel of a car. I don't mind riding in them though

I always rode a bike but never really got into bikes besides as a mode of transportation until I was diagnosed with hip arthritis 4 years ago. I was a Basketball and Volleyball player for most of my life and was told to give them up. I took up Road riding then and do close to 110 miles a week for exercise and also got into collecting pre war ballooner bicycles also. Now my basement is cluttered with bikes and tools etc....Hope everybody likes my introduction. Peace, Marc
