I'd like to replace a junked suspension fork on my wife's bike. For her use and for a bike like hers, it makes more sense to put a rigid fork on the bike.

The only affordable 26" rigid forks are an inch or so shorter than her current suspension fork according to reviews. I cannot find an actual axle to crown measurement. Can I put a 27.5 fork on the bike? Disc brakes, not rim.

Ideally I'd get something like the Soma, but at triple the price, it doesn't make sense for this bike.

Seems like a pretty easy way to get a suspension corrected fork.
