I like to use a pump garden sprayer (from Home Depot) which I fill with with hot water. It has a longneck, trigger spray wand with a focused and fine misting head, the combo of which makes it easy to place a controlled amount of water anywhere on the bike. I’m lucky to have a garage, but it has no drain, so I don’t want to flood the place with garden hose volumes of water.

I rinse with water first, then use a regular spray bottle with SaltX and soap to suds the bike, scrubbing with a cylindrical brush. I then rinse with the garden sprayer, dry, and lube.

You could use a drip tray (or a couple; I used two boot trays when the bikes came inside at the old place) if you want to keep the concrete as clean as possible.
