Great article. The writer points out astutely that hybrids are far more versatile than they're given credit for; also that the only valid complaint that can be made against them is that the name was an abysmally bad choice from a marketing standpoint.
Skeptical? See the thread at the bottom of the last page of this sub-forum. People hated the idea that hybrids deserved their own section. That thread gets nasty, and all because hybrids aren't "real" bikes (i.e., they're not meant for cosplaying being a road or off-road racer).
