Most of what I've learned about tandems is from reading about them. I haven't had many chances to work on them. I own one but don't get to ride it often. Mine has two cantilever brakes, and that's all. I wondered if they would suffice, but I'm glad to say they give me complete confidence. I'm sure it helps that my spouse and I are lightweight people.
