I was simply asking if it should be there. Seems it should. No way of telling if this one had the ridge, it was too dark but I’ll assume whoever fitted it knew what they were doing better than me and it does.

not seen these used there before but I have largely given re-cabling jobs to the local shop for the last 5 years as most of my bikes have fully internal routing now and I can’t face it haha. The diameter didn’t look particularly wide, not moreso than those I’ve seen on the mech, but I was able to get the cable threaded through ok when I realised what I was dealing with.

Assume you meant “outer cap, short tongue” under E?
