yes, exactly

when I do a winter ride I 1st decide what gloves to start with & what gloves to carry with me. I often wear light gloves to start. I learned an important lesson one cold sleety day. because I take my hands out of my mitts for various reasons, the gloves got wet. so even w/ mitts the wet gloves made my hands cold. so if I ride in freezing rain, or similar, I need to be wary of wet gloves & plan appropriately
