i'm not arguing thae durability point, of course.

my point is that you shouldn't ride unsealed unless you're willing to take care of 'em. a sealed hub will go months longer without maintenance, and let's face it, we're not all ambitious when it comes to maintenance.

i ride phils on my everyday bike because i know that i'm too lazy to maintain unsealed hubs as much as they demand.
