When our first was born, I got a trailer and took her around town on errands and such, or just rides. I remember when my eldest son was around four I took him on an overnight camping trip in the trailer. Later I got a tandem from Craigslist, which was great for having a child on the back (and sometimes two with a tag-along). I also took two of my daughters to school on a cargo bicycle for a few years.
