Been there, done that. Don't worry about it, babies grow quickly, way too quickly. The days (and nights) may be long, but the weeks, months, and years are all too short. In the early days I felt some anxiety at the loss of sleep, but then found that it didn't affect me as much as I thought it would, and stopped worrying about it. I stayed on my bike by using it to run errands and commute to and from work when the weather allowed. When our daughter turned one, I bought a power-assist "Mamachari" bike with a child's seat, and gifted it to my wife. We live in Japan, and the mamachari is the national station wagon of Japan. As it happens, I ended up using it much more than my wife, and I am still using it for shopping, etc. Our daughter is now 11, knows how to ride a bike, and she cycles with me on occasion.
