How very French; Renault Dauphine (telltale rear engine vents), and Citroen H van, the only vehicle I can recall that went from front-hinged conventional doors to rear-hinged "suicide" doors, and not vice-versa; unit-body construction, front drive with engine forward of the axle (just a Citroen DS drivetrain rotated 180 degrees), those were very ahead of their time in utility and efficiency.
