No. I wasn't ever surprised. In fact at one time I was certain that riding old bikes was the greatest thing. Then I bought a new bike in 2020. And it was so much more fun to ride, that I almost regret not trying out all the other bikes through the many years I was riding that one very old bike from 1979 that I'd bought new.
