It's hard for me to say, although I do know that I pedal much differently on my mongoose as i do on my bianchi. I am not sure if its because i have clips on my bianchi or if its because the gear ratios are completely different on the 2, or perhaps its a mixture of them. I've taken to riding my bianchi for most of my commuting though.
