The derailleurs on my first road bike (a '78 Raleigh Super Course) were Suntour and I've been a fan ever since. I've dreamt about owning a bike with Superbe or Superbe Pro components for many years, and besides a fleeting affair with a Pro-Miyata I restored then parted out for sale, my first real experience riding with any of the stuff has been on the 1986 Cannondale SR800 I acquired in August 2025 - this is a precursor to the "Black Lightning" by one model year and it's really a pleasure to ride! I'm posting photos of the black and gold anodized Superbe Pro components here for the record. Cheers!
