Anyway, I agree on the Silca floor pump. I eventually replaced the hose and head with a new dual one so it would work on the kids' bikes.

One problem I did have with the Silca, perhaps because of the Columbus tubing, is that the plastic rod bearing at the top stripped out. Maybe the threads weren't good enough in said tubing. I secured it in place with a tiny sheet metal screw on each side.
