On the weight- a small aluminum frame weighing that much is, as stated early, nearly unheard of. Tubing that thick cant possibly be ideal for ride feel, but if you slap on a wide enough tire and drop the psi low enough, I bet that will blur things enough for it to not matter.
This is about the myth of steel frames being more "comfortable" than aluminum frames, but the findings regarding the irrelevance of any frame in discussions of confort are pertinent.
