Chinook Tandem Frame Cracking Issues

Please consider this a public service announcement. We don't own a Chinook tandem, but my wife and I run Adventures in Tandem and know a lot of people who do.

We have reports from three teams who own them of finding cracks in the frame/fork. The three issues we heard about were with the fork, one of the chain stays and the stoker seat tube. So, it's not a specific area that seems to fail.

If you own a Chinook, I suggest you inspect it carefully and continue to do so periodically. Broken forks can be especially dangerous, so be careful...
