My only objection to camping with RVs is when I get sandwiched between two campers that have generators running all night and the TV's turned up loud. That always ruins the experience for me.

When I tour I usually kind on wing it each night, but since I have to spend 2 weeks there I thought it good to have a plan.

I'll check those sites you mentioned. Thanks!
The KOA I was thinking of isn't a KOA anymore. You might try this campground. It's along Fountain Creek in Manitou Springs. There aren't any major road really near by (US 24 is across the creek and about 100 yards away). Manitou is a bit funkier than CO Springs too.
