My work (u. campus) is adjacent to a couple of branches of the river that runs through the centre of the city, so the resident flock (prolly 1,000 or more of them) simply moves around between the many manicured fields within the campus grounds and the river. At this time of year, the breeding couples are busy fattening themselves up for nesting so the whole campus is a green, slimy mess. Signs like below are everywhere, at doorways and outside and will be for the next few weeks.
