Today was up in the hot-n-sweaty range, with a light wind which couldn't decide which way it was blowing. At the library today, I had to move someone's NEXT MTB out of the doorway....and call me a bike snob if you like, but something about the way it felt made me very happy for my lil' Swee'pea.

On the way home, it was cool, but not cold, and the light wind had settled into a tailwind. Bugs peppered my face by the swarm at times--I was afraid to inhale. About three miles from home a black cat slunk across my path, but no disaster ensued (unlike last year!) As I passed the farm tavern two miles from home, a party and late-night volleyball game was going on. (I was tempted to stop.) A mile later, frogs were singing up a storm in a flooded field. All in all, a lovely ride home...I didn't even have a new bug collection when I got home and blew my nose.
