Bikes: 96-97 Gazelle Medeo.

One bicycle story.

At a target shopping center, in one of suburbs of Los Angeles, a bike was standing next to the shopping carts return cage.
Since this was late in the evening, approximately around 11pm, bike got my attention, as the store was getting closed and not many people around, except for few "not so nice" teenagers, Target's emplyees that were hanging around the bike.

An hour later, I was comming back the same way and saw an absolutely empty shopping center and this bicycle laying in the middle, with attached and partly ripped piece of paprer on the handlebar. The paper said the following:

For sale, 20$, in good working condition.
Below that, with different ink color, was another note: "Please, take it..."

After this guys "played" with the bike ( they were actually trying to vandalize it), the front wheen was completely bent with partly cut tire. The fork was also damages and the seat ripped off.

I started to pull the bike to the side, behid the building, thinking to maybe use it for parts later, *deuraillers, cranks, handle bar, brakes...
Fortunently, I saw a man that was running around on a similar bicycle, checking the garbage cans, picking up the bottles. I asked if he needed a bike and he said that he sure will take it.
I am sure he can use the parts as they are exactly as the one he was riding on.

Such a story... Even though bikes have different values, sadly that some people allow themselves to destroy good things for "fun".
Hopefully the bicycle is saved now.
Below is the picture of it.
