The issue is real. Especially wearing bright colors. Especially if you are in someone else's neighborhood. Especially if it has happened multiple times.
My only suggestion is better discretion. Try having one rider stay by the bikes as if changing a tire or checking a map or something while the other does his business.

This is where I'm at on this. I always make myself non-visible not so much for my embarrassment, but that I don't want to make anyone else uncomfortable or have to deal with any police/tickets/issue.
...and it can cause issues. Once...non-cycling...I was waiting alone at a bus stop for a bus that was arriving soon. I desperately had to go before a long bus ride, and I had to make that bus. As I did it, I heard a car crash. Pretty sure it was someone distracted watching what I was up to instead of their driving. I've always felt bad about that. I'm sure in influenced my efforts to avoid public urination challenges going forward.
