Mine is also non-flasing....I really dislike strong flashing bike lights!! Mine is an Exposure (British make)...pricey but it really illuminates the road in the winter, and it has an auto-dimmer on the highest setting when it detects oncoming traffic.
I am not a fan of flashing headlights but I have a very flashing tail light. I have I think an edelux headlight on my headlight bike which does a good job of lighting up the road in front of me and cutting off below oncoming handlebar height.
I used to have this oncoming guy who wanted to make eye contact with me and exchange enthusiastic greetings through the blinding flashing lamp on his helmet and I could just keep looking away...
