My bike has regular calipers. When I left the house yesterday morning the wheel probably had about 1/16" deviation from true. By the time I got home it was closer to 1/4" of deviation, and the rub against the brake pad was significant enough that I was feeling the resistance as I rode. I'm actually surprised it took nearly two weeks for the wheel to finally go out of true with a spoke holding on for dear life.
