That is a lovely bike. Those fork crown lugs say 1972. Also, the majority of TdF bikes from Gitane from 1969-72 came with Tipo hubs. I had an old mechanic pal who swore by the Tipo hubs. All about keeping them properly lubed and adjusted, he'd grumble. My first, TdF, purchased in the Spring of 1971 came with Tipo hubs and fine silk Italian sewups. I'd never seen such things before. They were magic.
