Fun fact - I once had a bear in my old Corolla during an overnight camp trip with "the boys" back in the day. Inside the car. At Manker Flat campground at like 2 AM. Fortunately - no one was damaged in the incident, me, the bear, or the Corolla

Also I have inlaws in Upland that we visit often (north of the 210). So I am starting up at the Cucamonga wilderness often.
BF member RacerEx used to live in Upland. I drove out there to meet at his place to ride up and watch the ATOC. BF members Cleave and Wanders were also there, as was RacerExs' team. Wanders was visiting from the East and Ex had a bike for him to ride. Ex was a cat1 but he's very social on these kinds of rides.
We climbed Baldy road with lots of other cyclists. Climbs like that seem easier when there are lots of riders but I much prefer the other way up. We went to the ski lift after watching the race come up Baldy road and turn up GRR. Later they finished at the lifts. I think Chris Horner passed Quintana up there to win the stage.
