We climbed Baldy road with lots of other cyclists. Climbs like that seem easier when there are lots of riders but I much prefer the other way up. We went to the ski lift after watching the race come up Baldy road and turn up GRR. Later they finished at the lifts. I think Chris Horner passed Quintana up there to win the stage.
Yes I remember RacerEx well back in the glory days of the 33.
Do you remember when Peter Sagan won ATOC by like a couple of seconds? To me, the highlight of that tour was his climb up Baldy. He turned himself inside out to stay in GC contention with the climbers up that thing and limit his losses. At the height of his physical ability most likely. A truly heroic effort up that climb.
