Clearly not appreciating the polite society that is Canada. He deserves to live in the US. I'll gladly trade with him.
I'd just do a quick nod.
I owned an affordable sports car in its early years of production, bought it used, so had missed whatever orientation is provided by the owners club that I had not joined, and in the first weeks, driving on two-lane early Sunday morning so light traffic, one of same came from the opposite direction and gave me a quick wave as they passed. I later learned this was common. It fit. This was a car that brought happiness, and low enough priced for the common person, no snobbery.
A polite wave or nod from a fellow bike commuter is positive on so many levels. Mutual respect. Acknowledgement of both doing your part for a better society, especially by not using petrol or diesel fuel at a time of rapidly increasing prices. Saving the world by reducing carbon output. And just plain friendliness. I envy Canada, now more than ever.
