I even got that European-sounding ring tone.) Not the first time I have had problems with their site. And since it switched from FedEx to UPS, the service has become slower.
I used this service to ship my friend's (empty) bike carrier a few months ago. They partnered with UPS so I simply printed out the shipping label and dropped it off at UPS and it went smoothly. Not sure if something changed, or maybe I was lucky and/or you were unlucky.

We are going to Colorado in late July and I am taking my bike, will just pay the $80 each way fare and take the Habanero in the hard-shell case I have.
