I think you might have mis-seen the commercial. The guy in the car throws it into reverse at the last second to make the cyclist fall down. The cyclist was aware that a car was there and just used it to rest. I do not codone that, but like I said it sends the signal to motorists that they can do whatever with regards to cyclists. I understand that this is not a real-life thing, but its the general automotive phsycology that gets me. The driver of the car is a jerk for intentionally inflicting harm on another person.
