If he didn't put his beliefs on the website, I wouldn't care whether he got my money or not. I own all kinds of crap, and for the most part I have no idea what any of the people who made any of these things believes in. For the most part I don't care, either. But, but, but...when a businessman chooses to associate his beliefs with his business, say, by keeping a blog on his website wherein he praises Bush and castigates Bush's opponent, then I make the association as well--and spend accordingly.

So the answer to your question is a qualified "no." If the person who manufactures my messenger bag chooses to harbor ill thoughts about the Unicorn of Pinkness, that's his problem and it's really none of my concern. But if he deliberately links his bag business, publicly, with nasty anti-Unicorn sentiment, then my attitude towards him changes. Does that make sense?
