It is not illegal to ride on the sidewalk here, although the more i think about it, the more I think it should be banned here. I'm planning to talk to my council member about this. In this city, sidewalk riding is illegal only in the main downtown shopping area. That doesn't make much sense to me. It should be illegal in all shopping areas. I could have gotten hurt! Even worse, he could have messed up my bike.
Right, I'm not saying he has no business riding a bicycle because he's on a sidewalk, I'm saying he has no business riding a bicycle because he's endangering others around him with his reckless riding style. Same as if he was driving a car recklessly.
